Five Minute Check

The 5 Minute HVAC Check

One leak, and how to measure it yourself before you talk to anyone.

The leak

Most HVAC companies do not have a lead problem in July. They have a shoulder season problem, and it is caused by the same thing every year.

When it is 95 degrees the phone rings by itself. Nobody has to market anything. Then September arrives, the calls stop, and the work goes quiet until the first cold snap.

Meanwhile there is a list of every customer you have already served sitting in your system. They trusted you enough to let you into their house and pay you. Most of them have not heard a word from you since the invoice.

That list is the cheapest work available to you, and it is the one nobody has time to touch.

The test. Five minutes, do it now.

1

Count two years of jobs. Pull every service call and install you completed in the last two years. Write the number down.

2

Now count who has heard from you since. Of those customers, how many have received anything at all from you since the job was finished. Not an invoice. A reason to come back.

3

Check your own maintenance plan. Open your website as a customer would and see whether a maintenance plan is offered at all, and how many customers are actually on one. Then compare your busiest month this year against your quietest.

What fixing it looks like

Every completed job followed up automatically. Maintenance plan campaigns worked against the customer list you already own. Review requests triggered the moment a job closes, while the customer still remembers you. And enquiries answered in seconds while the whole team is on a roof.

None of that requires a bigger ad budget. It requires the list you already have to be worked on a schedule.

What does that, in our platform

  • Email and SMS campaigns Pro Maintenance plan offers go to the customer list you already own.
  • Automated follow-up sequences Pro Every completed job is followed up without anyone scheduling it.
  • Missed-call text-back Starter Calls that arrive while the team is on a roof get answered by text.
  • Review and reputation automation Pro Review requests fire when a job closes.

What it would have to be worth

We are not going to guess what the gap is costing you. Here is the other question instead: what would this have to bring back before it paid for itself. Put your own figure in and the sum happens in your browser.

At that value, the platform pays for itself once it brings back:

  • Starter $397 a month ? jobs a month
  • Pro $797 a month ? jobs a month
  • Enterprise $1,497 a month ? jobs a month

Disclaimer: our prices are the published ones and the value is yours. Figures round up, because you cannot bring back part of a job.

If your numbers came out big

Fifteen minutes, screen share, no pitch. We go through the tests you just ran and show you where the gap is. If it is not worth fixing we will say so on the call.
